Hye-Jin was laying in the snow on a large shore, the water drew back into the ocean. His raft tattered and broken was drifting back out to sea, with an exhale he passed out. Hye-Jin woke up in a small igloo next to a warm fire, looking around Hye-Jin's clothes were dried out laying next to him. Turning over to his other side a small woman walked into the igloo, "How are you feeling?" she said. With a light grunt, the teen spoke, "where am I? Who are you? Oh, I'm fine I guess." The small woman stepped closer and knelt down, "I'm Kai... I saved you from freezing to death. I recommend you change clothes, though, most people around here don't like people from the fire nation... Here take these!" Standing up Hye-Jin put on the new set of clothing, the clothing was typical water nation garb. A large blue fur coat and brown pants. After putting on the clothes Hye-Jin thanked the woman for her kindness and posed another question. "Do you know Master Xi? I'm in search of him..." She slowly reeled back and lowered her voice, "Why would you want to find him if you are a fire bender?" Hye-Jin may not know a lot about the actual world, but he was told that being the avatar is considered a bad thing; therefore he had to come up with a quick excuse. "Oh umm.... I'm not actually from the fire nation, nor am I a firebender. I was just in disguise on a ship off the coast. I can actually waterbend I just need to speak with Master Xi, I was discovered and had to quickly escape. Then you found me on the shore freezing to death because I didn't have my normal clothing." The woman puffed out her chest in confidence, "Then waterbend!" Hye-Jin rarely every waterbended, but if he had to do it now was the time. Assuming position he focused on a small pool of water, lifting it up into the air he formed it into a ball. Dropping the ball he replied, "How's that?" The woman told him that Master Xi was a teacher in the northern water tribe. From there Hye-Jin left the small village in search of Master Xi...

Xi spends most of his days training new and old disciples in water bending. From basics to advanced techniques he was experienced in perfecting both in his pupils. Right now he was training an older solider a new technique on lifting entire waves. "Channel your Chi higher than normal but come down slower. You must keep in mind the physics of water as you bend." The solider did almost exactly as he was instructed but it was imperfect unrefined. The wave came down unto the shore scattered. "Could you show me again master?" His student asked. Xi bent his legs and lunged forward. He drew forth a wave, lifted it higher just as he described, and released his grip on the wave to it would crash down but lightened its fall at the last moment. Not a single drop of water sprayed onto either of them. "Hmm. From what you've taught me so far I think I just need some time alone to practice my form." They bowed to each other. "I'll see you next week Bumu." Xi sighed and examined himself. He was alone and shirtless on the beach by the city. Behind him there were massive stoic masterpieces of craftsmanship. The northern pole city was built into a massive Ice burg. Buildings clung and hung from the top and sides of the ice pinned and hung by ropes and beams. I should probably return to the temple. Xi put his coat back on and walked up a massive set of steps that led onto a street of the city.
It took him a few minutes to get back to the temple but when he did there were tons and tons of teachers that he had taught to teach with brand new students. New students come to the temple everyday to learn to water-bend and it all started with Xi's integrity. Weather his students were soldiers or old ladies, he could care less. The war brings clouding to Xi's mind. He sees so many young people in his school water-bending to be come warriors, to kill. Xi sighs as he sees a mere child perfects a war technique. After his walk to the temple and his brief thoughts on his temple he returned to his quarters. His room was hung above the temple grounds in a tower like position. He could look down from a massive window to see all the classes in session.

As Hye-Jin pushed forward throughout the tundra he stopped for a second. Reaching into his backpack to search for his bells he slipped his hand into one of his pockets. There was a hiss and something bit at the teen. Quickly pulling his hand out of the pocket a small elephant rat crawled up his arm and onto his shoulder. It began sniffing at Hye-Jin and quickly crawled into his coat. This sent Hye-Jin into a comical fit trying to get this vermin out of his coat. As elephant rat slipped out of his coat he climbed onto the top of Hye-Jin's head. Letting out a long winded sigh the Avatar spoke, "Fine you can stay!" The rat seemingly replied with a quite complacent noise. The village that Hye-Jin had left from was supposedly close to the Northern Water Tribe. Within an hour Hye-Jin could see the city, it was a vast city built into the ice. As cars passed into the city he ran forward. Arriving at the gates there were two guards. Hye-Jin approached but was abruptly stopped. "Halt! What business do you have here?" The teen quickly replied, "I'm in search of someone, Master Xi." One of the guards inspected Hye-Jin up and down, "Where'd you get that elephant rat, those aren't native to this area!" The elephant rat scurried back into Hye-Jin's coat as the teen replied, "Oh I was on a ship... and he must have been on there... I found him and he has been with me ever since." The two guards scoffed and let him in. Walking in Hye-Jin was in awe, he walked for a bit and remembered what he was here for. Looking at the stowaway elephant rat Hye-Jin decided to keep him, "Hmph I'll name you Sugo 수고"

Xi sat down in a soft fur seat that was placed against a wall in his quarters. As one of the many teachers at his academy he spent most of his time teaching. As of now for once he was on a break. The patients of even the greatest teachers becomes tested over time. Xi let out a loud sigh. He loved to teach, it was his passion, but it got old at the end of the day. Especially when his students are so close to their goals but they are having so much trouble getting there. If only he had a student as dedicated to learning as he was to teaching. A student that would be just like he was when he was first seeking out masters. He gazed out the window and envisioned himself as a teenager wandering the streets asking around for a new master. He shook his head and said to himself. "If there is a student like that out there, as dedicated as I once was. They will find me."

The Avatar slowly moved throughout the city, but he soon realized he had no idea where he was going. He knew he needed to look for some sort of temple, but the city was so dense and hard to navigate for newcomers. Hye-Jin found himself lost in the middle of a city he had never been. He wanted to ask for help, but he felt as if people weren't just going to help a random person. Sugo quickly scurried up his arm onto his shoulder. Turning towards him Hye-Jin proposed a rhetorical question. "Where do you suppose we go?" Of course, Sugo never answered, but this didn't help Hye-Jin at all. There was a small girl shouting about some sort of secret group, to the normal person it would seem like lies, but Hye-Jin was very ignorant so he didn't. [This post isn't over]
