Personality:
Hang is a wise cracking, comical individual. He acts carefree most of the time, which contradicts his earth bending style, but this can be explained through his preference of using more fluid forms of earth bending such as sand bending, glass bending, and dust bending. Although, when he's put into a corner and has to take things seriously or when he gets upset, he tends to stick to strictly earth bending, metal bending, and in extreme instances lava bending. Hang is a friendly person, despite being isolated in the Great Divide for most of his life, the few times he leaves and goes to a nearby village for supplies or when travelers pass through he greets them with a great deal of kindness. Hang is very ignorant, due to him being raised in the great divide for all of his life, he was taught howto speak and the history of earth bending, that's the extent of his knowledge. He doesn't know how to read, write, count much higher than 50, he doesn't know of other forms of bending than what he knows, the svatar, the other nations, nor most locations within his own nation. Though, he's naturally skilled in combat, earth bending, strategies, and survival skills. He also has a great sense of protection over his Canyon Crawler, named Ning. Hang is also a vegetarian.
Appearance:
Hang is average height, standing at 5'1", with a bit above average weight, weighing 173 lbs. because of him being thick and myscular. He has tanned skin, blue eyes, and light brown short hair. He wears fingerless gloves to cover his blisters already on his hands and to prevent more. He also wears commoners pants with a shaggy brown top layer on his thighs up to his hips and a tight green lower part from his knees down to his ankles. His shoes are brown ankle high boots with good traction. He wears a button up green long sleeved shirt that he rolls the sleeves up to his elbows on, it also has a beige hood. Lastly, he has a dark brown sash around his waist.
History:
Hang Jin-Kun is the unknowing and unknown bastard son of the current tyrannical Earth King. One fateful day, during the short Great Divided War, the Earth King fled a currently under attack Ba Sing Se to dwell within the renewed Omashu. While in his secondary palace, a servant girl who was sweeping his floors caught his eye, she was a poor serf and beneath him, but her beauty bewildered him to no ends. Eventually he sought her out without anyone else's knowledge, while doing so he stumbled in on her practicing her earth bending. She was magnificent, and that caused the king to become enthralled by the woman even more so.
He asked her to duel, which she had no choice but to accept sheepishly, and during said sparring match the king was struck down by thepeasant girl. He, one of the most amazing earth benders in the world, was defeated by a peasant. Afraid, the girl begged the king to spare her life, and invited him over for dinner and treatment for the wounds. He accepted and told his advisors he was going out without guards to make the people feel secure. That was the night Hang was made.
Months passed and the earth king forgot of his scandal, until his closest advisor and personalfriend that knew of that night told him the news of his bastard son. A rumor spread through the Earth Kingdom of the scandal of the Earth King and the son of a serf girl who shared many characteristics. The public began to lose trust in the king, his family began to resent him as well, but he was not usurped by the angry peasants or his siblings or children because there was no proof, only rumors. The Earth King took his chance, he sent a small platoon of assassins to kill the woman, her child, and any witnesses and to stage it as if it were the work of the fire nation.
They eventually hunted her down, living her life in Omashu, and attempted to kill her while she was in her garden with Hang. She fought and defeated the assassins with her amazing talent in earth bending and instantly realized this was the work of the earth king, so she fled that very night with her son, telling no one. Frequently she would run into others trying to stop and kill her and her child, and she defeated them all. Years passed as they traveled, Hang had turned 8 and he still didn't know the truth, until they randomly happened upon the Great Divide. His mother figured this would be a perfect location, not many people came here ever, a lot of room, the only issue was surviving. She could do just fine, but Hang was still young and untrained, so this began his training as an earth bending master, survival expert, and tactical genius.
After 3 years of trainjng, he was finally able to take care of himself in the divide, and more so. But a little while after he learned all his mom could teach him, they spotted a few of the earth kingdoms forces around the divide. This alerted the woman, she was living in some fantasy world where they could be safe, but they couldn't, it had been 11 years and they still hadn't given up. Then she had an idea, it had been 11 years, they knew what she looked like, but not Hang. She couldn't bare to explain her decision to Hang, he didn't know about her past and she wanted to keep it that way. So that night sheleft, only leaving a note saying "I'm sorry, I love you"
Hang was confused, agry, and sad, he questioned it for about a day, but he had to move on and adapt. He got over it, and continued to live in the divide. He spent his down time, which was all the time besides when he was harvesting and planting his crops. He lived in the divide for so many years, hr decided to keep from provoking the fauna there by killing them, so he became a vegetarian. He was always very passive, trying not to kill the Canyon Crawlers when they attacked him from time to time. Eventually they came to trust each other and live side by side without attacking each other. One day a group of traveling merchants passed through the divide and the canyon crawlers attacked them, and one of them was harmed. Hang took that Crawler under his wing, healing it for over a month, until it was completely back to health, it then became imprinted onto Hang, becoming his companion he decided to name it Ning. To the current period, Hang has been in the Great Divide but he is becoming restless.

Bending:
- Earth Bending: Hang has mastered Earth Bending, through years of using it. He's gotten so proficient in Earth bending that he has also learned and created many subtypes of the style.
- Sand Bending: Hang has become an advanced user in the form of bending sand, enough so to use it to his advantage in tactical scenarios, but not yet in full blown combat.
- Glass Bending: Hang created the bending style of glass bending, but he's not yet a master, not even close. The most he can do at this time is create small spikes from the ground or create crude and rugged weaponry.
- Dust Bending: Hang created the style of Dust Bending, but the most he can do with it right now is transform pebbles or small rocks into dust, and vice versa.
- Magnetization: Hang created the style of Magnetization, but the most he can do with it is walk up walls.
- Lava Bending: Hang heard of Lava Bending by a passerby in the Great Divide, he didn't think it was true, just a myth, but he tried and practiced anyway. This resulted in him learning the most basic form of the style, he can control preexisting pools of lava at a very weak extent, that's it.
- Metal Bending: Hang has become very skilled, very close to being a master, in Metal Bending due to his years of using it.
