Hang had spent the majority of his life isolated in the Great Divide, although he didn't call it that, he didn't really have a name for the place he lived, he simply called it home. He was making his daily patrols that his mother informed him to do, before she mysteriously left, that thought still weighed on him a bit, but not as it once did, he had gotten over it. It was the break of dawn, so that meant Hang had to wake up and trace around the borders of the Great Divide, while still keeping hidden, so that he could scout and make sure that there was no one suspiciously hanging around, just merchants and travelers. He was just making the complete round-about, nothing suspicious, in fact nobody. Hang didn't see anybody around the Great Divide, which wasn't uncommon, it just felt... ominous.
He was just about to conclude his scouting, when he saw five men in heavy clad armor standing at the border of the divide. Two of them were blocking the main entrance of this section of the divide, and the three remaining were making their way into the divide, but breaking up, putting a bit of space between each of them. One went diagonal to the left, one went diagonal to the right, and the last simply went straight. Hang, with his curiosity taking the best of him, crept towards the three that had went into his domain, looking so threatening. As he followed them, he decided to go towards the one taking the center approach, since he would be bound to be the closest to the last time he set up camp, and subsequently toward the main swarm of Canyon Crawlers that Hang was sure would attack the man. He didn't want the man to end up being slaughtered, and then the others calling reinforcements and the situation getting out of hand, but he would not simply let the Canyon Crawlers, whom he called friends, be killed either, especially not Ning, his closest friend.
