The user of this bending style must already have metal bending, for this is a sub-type of metal bending. The metal bender has the ability to alter the magnetization of elements within the earth that they bend, which is substantially stronger when it's done with metal. The altered magnetization can be used to stick to walls, or disarm opponents, although the ladder is a difficult technique and only masters of this style have the strength and ability to do so.
